Managing Partner

Duncan has over 22 years of experience in finance. With a background in corporate valuation, corporate advisory services, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), asset management, and global bank branch management, Duncan brings his knowledge of deal structuring, project valuation, and legal matters to Summit Creek Capital.  Over the last several years, SCC has developed and financed over 80 MWs of utility scale solar.  Duncan graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with a degree in History and the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Master’s in Business Administration with concentration in accounting and finance.  Further, Duncan is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.

Tyler Davis-Jeffers

Deal Origination and Structure

With over 15 years of experience in capital markets, Tyler brings an extensive understanding of deal structure and market opportunity.  Over the last several years he has developed and financed over 80 MWs of utility scale solar.  Tyler works directly with investors and project sponsors to build a legal and accounting team to provide the highest risk-adjusted returns for our investors.  Prior to SCC Tyler managed Pioneer Capital, a family wealth office focused on public market hedge strategies and private equity transactions in Southeast Asia.  Tyler graduated with honors from Brown University with a degree in International Business and Finance.

Michael Chestone

Project Review and Due Diligence

With over 12 years of experience at the leading edge of renewable energy technology, project development, design, finance and construction, Michael offers unique insights that de-risk portfolio investments and maximizes stakeholder value. As an industry thought-leader, he has led and contributed to many hundreds of megawatts of projects across several continents that are currently in operation or advanced stages of development (with many being the first market entrances). Most recently, he was tasked with heading up the US/Canada development and M&A efforts for Origis Energy where he played a critical role in the development of several hundred MWs. Prior to Origis, Michael held pivotal roles at Gehrlicher Solar, Ormat Technologies and Sharp Electronics Corporation. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entrepreneurship from Sierra Nevada College and a Professional Certificate in Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies from Stanford University.
